A day after a tv channel reporter alleged that her telephone was being tapped over the Hathras incident, the Uttar Pradesh authorities was but to come back out with an official assertion on the problem on Saturday.
However, when requested in regards to the allegation, a senior authorities official described it as “rubbish”.

On Friday, Channel India Today mentioned an audio tape of a name between their reporter Tanushree Pandey and the brother of the rape sufferer in Hathras was illegally leaked on social media. In an official assertion, it requested if the telephone of their reporter was being tapped or the numbers of the grieving household had been put underneath surveillance.
Under what provisions of regulation was the audio recording leaked by the officers who had entry to it, it requested. “The audio has been released with mala fide intentions”, it mentioned.
