Oxygen production for COVID-19 management being doubled, says Harsh Vardhan

Amidst heightened demand for medical-grade oxygen, Health Minister Harsh Vardhan stated that the production was being doubled.
The authorities had sanctioned 162 Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) vegetation of which 33 had been put in. Five of them have been put in in Madhya Pradesh, 4 in Maharashtra, three every in Chandigarh, Gujarat and Uttarakhand, two every in Bihar, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu and one every in Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Haryana, Kerala, Maharashtra, Puducherry, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh.
A 100 extra such vegetation have been collectively requested by States they usually too have been being sanctioned, the Health Ministry stated in a collection of tweets on Sunday morning.
Mr. Vardhan added that oxygen production was being diverted from industrial to medical use. Additional ventilators have been being offered by the Centre to the States. Maharashtra is to get 1,121 ventilators, Uttar Pradesh 1,700, Jharkhand 1,500, Gujarat 1,600, Madhya Pradesh 152 and Chhattisgarh 230.
Vaccines have been being replenished in ‘small’ States each seven days and each 4 days in ‘big’ States, Mr. Vardhan tweeted with out clarifying the standards for massive and small.
As on Sunday, the Health Ministry reported administering 12 crore vaccines. Eight States accounted for about 60% of those. With 2.6 lakh doses being given within the final 24 hours, it was the third day in a row this week that the variety of day by day doses administered fell under 3 lakh.
