Stating that online gambling was wrecking many households, PMK founder S. Ramadoss on Tuesday questioned when it will be dropped at an finish.
In a press release, Dr. Ramadoss referred to the loss of life of Vijaykumar, a youth from Puducherry who dedicated suicide after dropping his property and wealth attributable to his online gambling behavior.
“He immolated himself, leaving his two children and wife behind. In an audio message to his wife, he said he had lost nearly ₹30 lakh on online gambling (rummy), and that was the reason why he took the extreme step,” Dr. Ramadoss mentioned.
Dr. Ramadoss identified that gambling in public locations and golf equipment with cash is against the law, whereas it’s authorized online. “The Centre and the State governments should ban online gambling to prevent it from destroying more families,” he mentioned.
