Three bodies found in the Godavari on June 1 had been recognized by the Rajamahendravaram police on Tuesday as siblings, who had ended their lives in a state of melancholy after their mom’s loss of life.
The deceased have been recognized as Maamidipalli Kannadevi (34), Nagamani (32), and Durga Rao (29) of Kovvuru city in West Godavari district. All of them had been single. Their final rites had been carried out by the police on June 3 after no one turned as much as declare the bodies.
Their mom Manikyam died on May 31 after a chronic sickness in the District Governmrnt Hospital right here. None of their kin, besides the relations reportedly turned up for her funeral fearing COVID.
Police mentioned video footage confirmed that the three siblings had despatched their father dwelling and later jumped into the river. The bodies of the trio had been found on the banks of the Godavari in Rajamahendravaram on June 1. Police carried out the final rites after nobody claimed the bodies for 3 days. “The identity of the deceased was traced on Tuesday,” a police officer mentioned.
