Six villages out of KSEZ purview, ₹10 lakh per acre to be paid for assigned land
The Andhra Pradesh State authorities on Tuesday launched the train of returning 2,180 acres of land to the farmers from the controversial Kakinada Special Economic Zone (KSEZ) by registering the land to them on the Kakinada coast in East Godavari district.
In March, the State authorities had promised the return of lands together with exemption of stamp responsibility. The KSEZ is situated in Thondangi and U. Kothappalli mandals.
Collector D. Muralidhar Reddy instructed The Puucho that income groups on Tuesday started verification of the paperwork (land possession/switch) of farmers by visiting the villages as half of preparation for the land registration. The registration can be completed as quickly as the federal government issued a G.O. exempting fee of stamp responsibility for the method.
At a high-level assembly convened by Agriculture Minister Kurasala Kannababu and State officers right here on Monday night time, it was instructed that 1,357 acres within the KSEZ space can be returned to the homeowners whereas in lieu of a bit of 823 acres within the coronary heart of the KSEZ, different land outdoors the KSEZ can be given to farmers.

Mr. Kannababu stated six habitations – Srirampura, Bandipeta, Mummidivaripodu, Potuvaripalem, Raavivaripodu and Ramaraghavapuram – had been excluded from the KSEZ jurisdiction.
The police division had been directed to withdraw the instances registered in opposition to the protesters of KSEZ.
In the case of 657 acres of project land situated within the KSEZ, those that had been having fun with it might be provided a compensation of ₹10 lakh per acre by June-end. “The Revenue and KSEZ authorities should coordinate and complete the task in time,” stated Mr. Kannababu.
