The newly inducted Rafale fighter plane will feature in India’s Republic Day parade on January 26 and culminate the fly-past by finishing up the ‘Vertical Charlie’ formation, the Indian Air Force (IAF) mentioned on January 18.
In the ‘Vertical Charlie’ formation, the plane flies at low altitude, pulls up vertically and conducts rolls earlier than stabilising at increased altitude.
“The fly-past will culminate with a single Rafale aircraft carrying out a ‘Vertical Charlie’ formation,” mentioned Wing Commander Indranil Nandi.
A complete of 38 IAF plane and 4 planes of the Indian Army will take part in the fly-past on January 26, he mentioned.
