Reconstruction works of Kanipakam temple launched

Endowments Minister V. Srinivas Rao on Wednesday carried out ‘bhumi puja’ and foundation-laying ceremony for the reconstruction of the Kanipakam temple, close to Chittoor. It is the third distinguished temple in Chittoor district after Tirumala and Srikalahasti.
The Minister mentioned that the reconstruction of the temple can be accomplished by Vinayaka Chathurthi subsequent 12 months, whereas works on the golden chariot had been in progress and can be accomplished on the earliest.
