SC rejects plea against anticipatory bail for man accused of rape

The Supreme Court on Friday rejected an attraction filed by a 22-year-old lady against a Delhi High Court order granting anticipatory bail to a Mumbai journalist whom she has accused of rape.
A Vacation Bench of Justices Navin Sinha and Ajay Rastogi stated it discovered no motive to intervene with the High Court’s order of May 13 defending journalist, Varun Hiremath, from arrest. The crime is alleged to have been dedicated within the capital on February 20.

Ms. Ramakrishnan stated the act was forcibly dedicated. She had repeatedly denied consent.
But the Bench refused to delve on the query of consent, saying the petition earlier than it solely involved the grant of anticipatory bail.
