Reiterating that former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa issued a no-objection certificates to the unit in August 1994, he stated the TNPCB granted environmental clearance on May 17, 1995. “It was Jayalalithaa who laid the foundation stone and inaugurated the unit. She even said the unit was a milestone in the development of industry in the State,” Mr. Stalin stated.
In a separate assertion, he urged the State authorities to carry counselling for medical admissions within the State, on-line.
