Tahsildar assaulted

Some individuals, together with kinfolk of a widow, assaulted a Tahsildar for his alleged obscene behaviour with the lady in Chikkodi on Tuesday.
The lady from a village close to Chikkodi had approached D.S. Jamadar, a Grade II Tahsildar, to complain in opposition to delayed launch of her widow pension. But she ran out of his chamber, shrieking, inside minutes.
She complained that the officer referred to as her alone inside his chamber and made sexual advances. She advised one other lady that the Tahsildar had opened his trousers and flashed at her.
This angered her kinfolk and another individuals who had been ready outdoors the Tahsildar’s workplace. They stormed into his chamber, pulled him out and slapped him.
He denied the allegations and mentioned that the lady was making up tales.
Senior Tahsildar Preetam Jain advised journalists that an inquiry shall be ordered into the incident.
The lady’s kinfolk registered a criticism on the Chikkodi Police Station later. Mr. Jamadar mentioned that he may also file a criticism in opposition to the lady and her kinfolk for assaulting him whereas on responsibility.
