The Pusapati household had contributed ₹1 lakh to the Harijan Movement, launched by Mahatma Gandhi, for the betterment of Harijans.
Saying that Mr. Reddy was solely within the lands within the area, the TDP chief alleged that the Pragathi Bharati Trust had taken cash from industries whereas the MANSAS Trust had spent the cash, belonging to the Pusapati household, for the welfare of individuals. Mr. Srinivasa Rao challenged Mr. Reddy to take an oath at Simhachalam temple, if the cost was not true.
