The Minister was talking after inaugurating the Thati Vanam (Neera project) at Ramannapeta below the Khammam Municipal Corporation (KMC) limits on Tuesday.
As many as 3,000 palm saplings, together with the Indian date palm vegetation (Giraka Thati, Bihari Thati, Eetha and Kharjura), have been planted on 6.20 acres below the aegis of the native toddy tappers’ society at an estimated value of ₹28 lakh as a part of the Haritha Haram.
Highlighting the dietary worth of neera, the pure extract from palm bushes, the Minister mentioned that the pure sap gives wealthy well being advantages, notably for bone well being.
A ‘neera cafe’ is being constructed close to the Tank Bund in Hyderabad at an estimated value of ₹8 crore, he mentioned, including that efforts have been on to advertise the palm nectar (neera) in a giant means throughout the State.
