Three of family found shot dead in Chennai’s Sowcarpet

An aged couple and their son have been found dead with bullet accidents at their home in Chennai on Wednesday evening. The police mentioned the our bodies of Dileep Thalil Chand, 74, who ran a finance agency, his spouse Pushpa Bai, 70, and son Shrishith, 40, have been found a number of hours after they died.

The family had been staying on the primary ground of a three-storeyed residential condominium on Vinayaga Maestri Street in Sowcarpet.

Police Commissioner Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal and Additional Commissioner (North) A. Arun inspected the spot.

“We suspect it to be homicide. Forensic experts have examined the crime scene. We are probing from all angles, working on clues and ascertaining the motive. Five teams have been constituted to probe the case,” Mr. Aggarwal mentioned.

Police sources mentioned a close-by CCTV digicam had captured an unidentified man close to the home in the night.

While Mr. Chand had a bullet wound on his chin, his spouse had an identical wound on her brow. Their son had suffered a gunshot wound to his head. Other residents of the condominium complicated instructed the police that they didn’t hear any gunshots.

According to the police, on Wednesday night, the couple’s daughter, Pinky, tried to succeed in them over the telephone and grew suspicious when they didn’t reply the calls. She despatched her husband to examine on them. On reaching the home at round 7.30 pm, he was shocked to search out his in-laws mendacity in a pool of blood in the corridor.

Preliminary inquiries revealed that Shirshith had separated from his spouse and kids because of variations and a divorce case is pending in the court docket.
