TN CM Relief Fund receives ₹69 crore so far; ₹50 crore earmarked for life-saving medicine, oxygen

Following Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin’s attraction to most of the people and corporates to donate generously to the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund (CMPRF) to assist the State authorities struggle the COVID-19 pandemic within the State, a complete sum of ₹69 crore has been obtained until Tuesday morning.
Of the full ₹69 crore obtained, the Chief Minister has ordered the usage of ₹25 crore to supply Remdesivir and different life-saving medicine for the State and one other ₹25 crore for liquid oxygen for hospitals in Tamil Nadu from different States, an official launch mentioned.
Of the full ₹69 crore, a sum of ₹29.44 crore was obtained by digital transactions, whereas ₹39.56 crore has been obtained instantly from donors, the press launch mentioned. Mr Stalin had, final week, appealed to the folks and corporates to donate generously to the CMPRF to assist the State authorities in combating the COVID-19 pandemic.
