Protests on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Medical Students Association (TNMSA) will probably be held in any respect medical schools on Thursday to condemn the gathering of excessive charges at Rajah Muthiah Medical College.
The affiliation, in a press launch mentioned, authorities medical schools in Tamil Nadu charged solely ₹13,600 for MBBS, ₹30,000 for MD/MS, ₹11,610 for BDS and ₹30,000 for MDS. However, Rajah Muthiah Medical College, which comes beneath the management of the State authorities, prices ₹5.6 lakh for MBBS college students and ₹9.6 lakh for MD/MS programs.
“Such legalised plunder of tuition fees affects students from humble backgrounds. The college students have been fighting for the last 50 days against this loot. The Tamil Nadu Medical Students Association expresses its full support for its struggle,” the affiliation mentioned.
To condemn the excessive charges, the affiliation will stage protests in all medical schools. Members of TNMSA and medical college students from everywhere in the State will be part of and help the protest of the school college students, it mentioned.
