Uncertainty over BJP’s core committee meeting in Kerala

Uncertainty looms over the essential core committee meeting of the Kerala unit of the BJP as the town police have requested the get together management to comply with the Covid protocol.
The meeting was earlier scheduled to be held at a metropolis lodge at 3 p.m. on June 6.
The meeting is being held in the wake of the get together going through unprecedented organisational disaster. Besides the humiliating electoral defeat, the get together has discovered itself in deep bother after the Kodakara hawala cash transaction case and the allegations of get together State president K. Surendran paying ₹10 lakh for tribal chief C.K. Janu for contesting the Bathery Assembly seat and paying out ₹2.5 lakh for the BSP candidate K. Sundara to withdraw from contesting towards him in the Manjeswaram seat.
With the police stepping in, the get together management could also be pressured to change the meeting to on-line mode or organise it in accordance with the Covid protocol issued by the State authorities.
A member of the core committee, when contacted, stated he was ready for the management to resolve on the mode.
