Woman stabbed to loss of life, 13-year-old sister injured in Perinthalmanna

A 21-year-old man stabbed a lady to loss of life and injured her sister in an obvious reprisal for rejecting his romantic advances at Elamkulam, close to Perinthalmanna, on Thursday morning, the police stated.
Drisya, 21, was stabbed by Vineesh Vinod at her home. Vineesh covertly entered the home and attacked her in her room on the second flooring. Drisya’s youthful sister Devasree, 13, was additionally injured in the assault.
The police arrested Vineesh inside hours of the incident. They stated the homicide was in vengeance for Drisya’s household rejecting romantic advances from Vineesh.
Father’s store gutted
A store run by Drisya’s father at Perinthalmanna was gutted on Wednesday evening. Vineesh’s hand was suspected in the incident, the police stated.
