Coal Minister Pralhad Joshi mentioned regardless of the pandemic, the coal sector has proven resilience reflecting the criticality of its contribution to the regular growth of India’s financial system.
Coal secretary Anil Kumar Jain mentioned that coal varieties the spine of India’s power system because it contributes to almost 58% of the nation’s business major power provide and coal-based energy contributes greater than 70% of the facility generated in the nation.
Coal India Ltd. alone accounts for 83.26% of coal production in the nation.
